Bad breath, (Halitosis).

 

Bad breath is a much common phenomena, also called halitosis. Many people suffer form a bad breath or from “smelling” a bad breath. You, yourself probably have stepped away from a friend who had a bad breath. 

 

How do you know you have a bad breath and what can you do.

 

Take the bad breath test:

 

 Lick over your wrist and wait 4 seconds. Smell your wrist. If there is a bad small, you have a bad breath too. Easy isn’t it. You can test, wherever you are.

 

Bad breath is a symptom, a signal of some kind of underlying cause. What can be the cause of bad breath.

 

 

Most common causes of bad breath are:

1. Dehydration

                                   2. Gum or teeth problems/ disease

                                   3. Intestinal/ stomach disease, yeast infection   

                                   4. Use of medication

                                   5. Stress

 

B    Bad breath remedy 

 

1.      Bad breath cure: Dehydration, did you drink at least 8-12 glasses of water a day? Dehydrated people often have a bad breath. Just plain water as our body consists of 50-60 % water will help to improve your breath and it is good for your health.

2.      Infected teeth, Gum disease, Caries see your dentist. And use a couple of drops of Oil of Oregano on your toothbrush or to swish in your mouth as a mouthwash. Do you know that Oil of Oregano is Antibacterial/ anti viral/ anti fungus and anti parasite? And do you know what that means? It means it will do a lot for your health and well-being. Whenever you have signs of an infection, you can start with Oil of Oregano.

2.      Disturbed digestion. See your doctor. Take Probiotics in the form of acidophilus or Kefir, this cures mild diseases, Gerd and Acid reflex disease. For worse stomach problems cup of Aloe vera before breakfast is a remedy that my friend Peter said, took away his stomach ulcer! Do this for at least 3 weeks. Most GERD are related to the H pylori, which is a bacteria found in not complete cooked meats. Preventive: Take Oil of Oregano on a regular base when eating raw meats.

3.      If you have a lot of stress your digestive system does not get enough oxygen (the energy goes to the flight or fight mode.) This gives bacteria a greater chance to thrive in your digestive system. The chances of getting diseases and a bad breath increase. So breathe, breathe, breathe.

2.      Eat Parsley raw, chew on anise seed, or cardomon, nutmeg or fennel for refreshing breath.

3.      Eat a lot of vegetables, fruit and grains; avoid white flour products, like white bread and pastas and sodas.

5.      Chew your food well and do not drink fluids with your food.  Take no food two hours before you go to bed and try to not take food for 12 hours after your dinner.                                          Be sure that you do not have an underlying disease like stomach problems, or intestinal problems. See you doctor.

6.      Try to have three bowel movements a day. Take:

#  4 ounces of prune juice with 4 ounces of magnesium citrate. My friend Marie calls this “The Bomb”.

#  Every hour take 2000 mgr of vitamin C with electrolytes, for 4 hours of more, till you start having loose stools. (By the way this works also against headaches and to boast up your immune system, especially when you go on a liquid diet/ vegetables juices for 24 hours. You can add Psyllium husks to cleanse the bowel).

# Drink at least 2 cups of kefir a day. To help your intestinal flora to regain its right bacteria balance.

 

 

Remember a good breath helps your health and health is an ongoing process. Do not give up and write down what helps and what does not. You have now a simple test and you can keep a logbook, to write down what is effective.

 

Prevention is the best maintenance.
